Information Regarding Final Exams
Students who complete the maximum duration (7 years) at the end of the Spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year may benefit from additional exam rights if they apply within the framework of Article 44(c) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, which states: “At the end of the maximum duration, final-year students may be granted two additional exam attempts for all courses in which they have failed in order to graduate from the educational institution where they are enrolled...” will be able to benefit from additional exam rights if they apply within the framework of this provision.

* At the end of the maximum period end-of-term additional exams, students who cannot reduce the number of failed courses to 5 (five), including courses they have never taken and courses for which they have not met the attendance requirement, in order to graduate from their registered program, will have their affiliation with the Faculty/University terminated.
* At the end of the maximum period additional exams, students who have 5 (five) or fewer courses, including courses they have never taken and courses for which they have not met the attendance requirement, as well as mandatory internships, and who have not taken the additional exams will be given an additional period of 4 (four) semesters.
*At the end of the maximum period, students who have taken supplementary exams to graduate from their registered program but have failed to meet the attendance requirement for courses they have not taken, including compulsory internships, and have reduced their course load to 5 (five) or fewer courses, are granted an additional 3 (three) semesters.
*At the end of the maximum period, students who have reduced the number of courses they have failed to 5 (five) or fewer by taking additional exams, including courses they have not taken and courses for which they have not met the attendance requirement, as well as mandatory internships, in order to graduate from the program they are enrolled in, will be granted an additional period of 3 (three) semesters.

APPLICATION CONDITIONS AND PROCEDURES
1. Students wishing to benefit from exam rights at the end of the maximum period must apply via the Student Information System (https://obs.balikesir.edu.tr/) between the dates announced in the Academic Calendar. Students who do not apply to benefit from exam rights are deemed to have waived these rights. No make-up exams will be held for supplementary exams at the end of the maximum period.
2. The location and time of the exams will be announced on the Faculty/Department website.
APPLICATION PROCEDURES
1. Applications will be accepted online at https://obs.balikesir.edu.tr/ during the dates announced.
2. Students must log in to the system during the specified dates and apply through the Additional Exam Application V2 menu.
3. After applying, students must print and keep their application form. This application form must be brought to the in-person exam.
