Advisory Board Meeting Held at the Faculty of Architecture
The Faculty of Architecture Unit Advisory Board meeting was held to address key topics regarding the faculty's academic and institutional development. During the meeting, a comprehensive evaluation was conducted covering the faculty's current status, educational activities, ongoing research and projects, and the expectations of the industry and stakeholders.
Discussions particularly highlighted the need to increase the number and improve the quality of student projects. In this context, emphasis was placed on encouraging project applications—specifically for the TÜBİTAK 2209 Program—and supporting initiatives designed to foster a project-oriented culture among students.
The meeting also underscored the importance of maintaining engagement with industry representatives and external stakeholders through events such as panels and talks. It was noted that such events contribute to students' professional development, and the need to continue efforts to strengthen the faculty's ties with external stakeholders was expressed.
Issues concerning a healthy campus life were also on the agenda. In this regard, attention was drawn to the importance of planning preventive activities and raising awareness to reduce smoking.
At the conclusion of the meeting, it was decided to convey all the proposals and evaluations discussed to the Department of Architecture as recommendations for consideration and appropriate action.
