"Silent Witnesses of the City: Mosques, Ablution Fountain, and Clock Tower" Exhibition Held
As the Balıkesir University Faculty of Architecture, we are pleased to have successfully concluded the exhibition of student project presentations titled "Silent Witnesses of the City: Mosques, the Ablution Fountain, and the Clock Tower."
Revisiting Balıkesir’s architectural and cultural heritage through the eyes of our students, this exhibition served as a valuable academic endeavor regarding urban memory, awareness of the historical environment, and architectural representation skills.
We extend our gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Yücel Oğurlu, and our senior administration for honoring the exhibition with their presence, and we congratulate all the students and academic staff who contributed to its success.
We hope that these works—shaped by our students' research, observations, and interpretations—will contribute to the recognition, understanding, and preservation of local architectural heritage for future generations.
